I am fortunate to occasionally present a clinic for professional development.  Since this is happening more frequently, I have put links to my presentations here.  Whether you attended my sessions or not, please feel free to download these presentations and use any of the ideas or material in them.  If you have any questions or need advice on any of these topics, please feel free to contact me.

TIPS FOR PUTTING ON A SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE:

Last presented at the 2014 NCMEA conference, Saturday, November 8

This presentation is for elementary music teachers.  I have also presented it to elementary classroom teachers.  This session gave useful tips for polishing off performances, as well as some techniques for teaching a program without overwhelming yourself or your students.

SMART NOTEBOOK BEST PRACTICES:

Last presented at the 2014 "Davie Experience", Friday, October 10

This presentation is for all teachers.  It was presented to an audience of elementary teachers, and the examples are elementary, specifically music.  However, the concepts used to make these files are totally interchangeable with any subject, and grade level.  When I presented this, I had several other files that I used to show examples.  I can provide those files if you would like.

USING MUSIC PURPOSEFULLY IN THE CLASSROOM:

Last presented at the 2013 "Davie Experience", Friday, October 1

This presentation is for all elementary classroom teachers, though I have presented pretty much the same material at Pre-K teacher/teacher assistant conferences.  Topics covered include using music as a transitional, attention-getting, and educational tool.
